Squirrel Hollow Camp is a dynamic summer program of The Bedford School, designed to help children thrive academically while having fun along the way! Created for students with learning differences—as well as those who benefit from extra skills practice—this unique program has been enriching summers since 1981. Open to students ages 6 to 14, Squirrel Hollow Camp welcomes 40–50 campers each summer to The Bedford School’s stunning 46-acre campus in Fairburn, Georgia. Campers enjoy a highly individualized academic program tailored to their needs, balanced with engaging recreational activities that make learning feel exciting and achievable.

At Squirrel Hollow Camp, summer is a time to build confidence, strengthen skills, and discover success in a supportive, joyful environment.

Students receive engaging academic instruction in reading, reading comprehension, writing, and math using a variety of structured, multi-sensory approaches designed to meet diverse learning needs. Classes are thoughtfully grouped by age and skill level, and there is no homework or pressure to keep pace—allowing campers to focus on growth in a relaxed, encouraging environment. Each day also includes plenty of fun! Campers enjoy swimming, team games, Challenge Course elements, and a wide range of recreational activities that build confidence, friendships, and joy alongside learning.

The Squirrel Hollow staff is made up of experienced Bedford School faculty and carefully selected college tutors who are passionate about supporting each child’s success.
