MIDDLE SCHOOL DINNER & DANCE: The middle school dinner and dance was a great success!

Special thanks to the Middle School Dance Committee for a job well done.

LUNCH MENU: The menu for March is now open. The deadline for ordering lunches will be this

Friday morning, February 26 at 8:00 A.M. Students and staff members who are going on the

Washington Trip should not purchase lunches March 1 - 5!! If you have problems ordering, please

contact Mrs. Sides before the window closes on Friday.

SPRING DRAMA: See the attached note about this spring's drama production. Contact Mr. James

or Miss Day for more information.

WASHINGTON TRIP: Parents of students going on the Washington Trip will receive an email about

specific information concerning next week's trip. Please read over it carefully and contact Mr. James

or Miss Day if you have any questions.

HORSEBACK RIDING: Sign up is in progress for Bedford's Spring Horseback Riding program.

Paperwork to reserve your time slot is available by contacting Lisa Freeman at 404/281-9497. You

are also welcome to contact her via email at Freefalling181@aol.com. Each class will be 30 minutes

in duration with 2 riders per lesson. Teaching space will begin at 3:30 with the last class at 5:30.

There will be a reduced rate for this session as a thank you for all your kindness and support of

Healing Rein's mission. The cost for the 4 week program is $100.00.

Session 1: March 12, March 19, March 26, and April 16.

Session 2: April 23, April 30, May 7, May 14.

Lisa is looking forward to serving your children again. Please call her with any questions.

DINNER AUCTION: The annual dinner auction will be May 1. We will be needing lots of help for

decorating, getting auction items donated, promotion, set up and break down and more. If you are

interested in helping out, please email Betsy Box at bbox@thebedfordschool.org. THANKS!

at the IDA Conference. We are so proud of you!

Monday Note 2-5-2010

CONFERENCE DAY: This Friday, February 12, is Conference Day. School will not be held on this day.

VALENTINE CANDY GRAM: Candy grams will be collected until this Thursday, February 11. To send a candy gram, students and parents will need to fill out one of the blank notes, found at the bottom of this page, and return it in an envelope along with fifty cents per candy gram. These will be collected in homeroom and delivered during lunch. Parents may also send candy grams and drop their envelopes in our Valentine’s box in the lobby.

PARENT TRAINING WORKSHOP: A "Post-Secondary Options Workshop" will be offered at McIntosh High School at 7:00 pm tomorrow, February 9th. A parent training workshop opportunity will again be available in Fayette County. "The ABC's of IEP's" will be offered in the Rivers Elementary Media Center on March 4th at 8:30am. Guest speakers will be discussing IDEA law, the IEP process, and paperwork organization.

MIDDLE SCHOOL DINNER & DANCE: The middle school dinner and dance will be held on FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 19, from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. See the attached information at the bottom of this page for details and return the bottom portion by this THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 11. Teachers will be serving as chaperones for this event.

WINTER BREAK: Winter break will be on Monday & Tuesday, Feb. 15 & 16. There will be no school on these days.

YEARBOOK AD: If you would like to place an ad in the yearbook, please be sure to fill out and return the ad at the bottom of the page by February 19. We are in need of more ads.

Monday Note 10-5-2009

SOCCER/VOLLEYBALL:

Mon., 10-5: Volleyball Game: Tri Meet vs. Grace 5:30 AWAY (pick-up 8:00)

Tues., 10-6: Volleyball Practice: 3:15 (pick-up 5:00)

Thurs., 10-8: Volleyball Practice: 3:15 (pick-up 5:00)

Intramural Soccer Games: Yellow vs. Blue 3:30

Yellow vs. Red 4:30 (pick-up 5:30)

SOCIAL STUDIES FAIR: The Social Studies Fair will be held Wed., Nov. 18 through Friday, Nov. 20. Please read the attachment to the Monday note and sign & return the parent form by Fri., Oct. 9. Students should turn in the topic of their project to their social studies teacher by Thurs., Oct. 15, for approval. The final project is due by Wed., Nov.18.

F.A.C.T.: The campout will be this weekend, Oct. 9 and 10. Families who are registered should have received confirmation and information by email. If you have any questions, contact Mr. James.

FALL BREAK: Fall Break will be from Friday, October 16 through Monday, October 19. Students will resume classes on Tuesday, October 20.

FALL PUMPKIN PATCH: All students will have the opportunity to participate in the 4th Annual Pumpkin Patch. Please see attached flyer for more information.

Lower School: We will have a Fall Party on Friday, October 30. We are asking lower school parents to please send in cookies for the party. Thank you!!

Middle School: Middle school students will receive goodie bags during homeroom on Friday, October 30. We are asking middle school parents to please send in bags of individually wrapped candy by Friday, October 23. Thank you!!

BOOK FAIR: A hearty “thank you’ to the Bedford staff, parents, volunteers, and students who helped make this a most successful Book Fair! The total sales were $3,415.63. Our profit ($798.05) will be used exclusively for the purchase of new books for the library.
